Pull your roster straight from AAU - and tell MeetMaker which non-athletes are adult athletes.

On the Roster Import page choose AAU as the organization. Instead of a file upload you are asked for two numbers:

  • Your Club Membership ID (prefilled if we already have it).
  • Your Primary Contact Membership ID.

Click Fetch and your AAU roster is listed. Tick who to import, set the level on each row, and import.

People already on your MeetMaker roster are marked as such and updated in place, including their level.

Athlete rows

Anyone AAU reports as an athlete shows as Athlete and needs a competition level. Use the Apply to all athletes box above the grid to set one level on every athlete row at once.

Non-Athlete rows - these are coaches and adult athletes

AAU reports an adult athlete as a non-athlete membership, because competing as an adult requires a background check. A coach and an adult athlete therefore arrive from AAU looking identical, and MeetMaker has no way to tell them apart. Both show as Non-Athlete.

Every Non-Athlete row defaults to Coach. You decide which is which:

  • Leave it on Coach and the person is imported as a coach.
  • Change it to a competition level and the person is imported as an athlete at that level, and can be registered for meets like any other gymnast.

Only your club knows which of your non-athletes are adult athletes, so check those rows before importing - it is far easier than sorting it out afterwards.

Apply to all athletes deliberately skips Non-Athlete rows. It can never turn your coaches into athletes by accident, which also means it will not set the level on your adult athletes - do those individually.
